“World’s Best Water Ride” Valhalla to undergo rehab in 2020 and reopen for the 2021 season?
The Golden Ticket awarded “Best Water Ride” 5 years running, Valhalla at Blackpool Pleasure Beach, may not open for the 2020 season. Some rumors going around the internet are calling for an extensive rehab costing upwards of 1 Million Pounds to the indoor water attraction. But they're just that, rumors. Amanda Thompson has finally addressed these on Twitter, mentioning a reimagining of the attraction, but also that "certainly nothing has been decided yet."
Really .... certainly nothing has been decided yet. We are looking at ways to #reimagine the ride yes..... but more importantly we are looking at trying to make it more sustainable. Sustainability is essential for the future of this ride. I can assure you Valhalla is here to stay https://t.co/r2UaOurdLo— Amanda Thompson OBE (@MandsThompson) November 16, 2019
Amanda also mentioned that the ride would not be getting back its original skull design on the side of the building, as it caused structural issues.

Valhalla is known for being incredibly long, wet and fire-y, with a poncho usually not being enough to keep you dry.
