Carnival Scams are a science, and as this video explains, you can see why some games are a bad decision to play at carnivals.

I'm a huge fan of skill-based carnival games. This video does explain some obvious physics-based tricks, but the real good info is in the stats and measurements they took. Very interesting to see how many actually lost at the ring toss. Chance of winning on a single ring is < .1%. And that's because they got bored watching people keep throwing and losing, could even be worse, and is most likely more like <.01%
I've only played ring toss once in my life, and somehow won a large turtle that I still have. I understand how unlikely that win was and have never played again. But I love that turtle.
