This is the only ride of its kind in the world, built exclusively for Suzuka Circuit in Japan, best know for F1 Japan. The user-controlled drifting coaster demands finesse, rewarding skillful drivers with speed while punishing mistakes. The system works through a coaster track mounted on a massive motion base. Using a slot-car style setup, the ride takes you through a similar overhead layout as Suzuka Circuit as drivers battle head-to-head. To drift, you turn into the corner and then counter-steer to initiate the slide. Over-drift or under-steer, and you’ll either spin out or come out of the drift, losing time. Perfecting the drift on long sweeping corners takes real skill, and the S-curves introduce a steep learning curve. These sections require strong exits to set up the next drift. It feels like a real-life Mario Kart drifting experience, with every corner pushing you to improve.
