    Default TOC2 Round 2: Flames & Frostbite

Round 2 of the Blue Bracket kicks off with a battle of "flames and frostbite" - the hellfire of Universal Studios Florida's Revenge of the Mummy takes on the volitile blast of Silver Dollar City's Powder Keg, the icy peaks of Disney's Animal Kingdom's Expedition Everest and the cold vengence of Six Flags Over Texas' Mr. Freeze.

Remember to vote for your FAVORITE coaster, and the three rides with the highest vote totals will advance to Round 3! Also please keep in mind that this is not a team battle. It's every man for himself!

I think I'm going to go with Powder Keg.

Mummy and Everest rely on theme. They look like fun rides, and I like theme, but without it, they are nothing...especially compared to the other two, Powder Keg and Mr. Freeze. I am not a huge backwards fan, though, so I think I would enjoy Powder Keg (air-time too) more than Mr. Freeze.

I'm not at all a fan of Powder Keg. I think it would be a MUCH more enjoyable ride with different trains. Those S&S ones are just downright awful. Basically, they're Screamin' Swing seats on a roller coaster. Well that works on a Screamin' Swing, because it has no lateral forces what so ever. Through in banking and directional changes and those awkward, awful seats are, well, awful.

I'm not a huge fan of going backwards either and really, the older I get the more it bothers me - but Freeze is just badass.

each is unique, and while I am more drawn towards Expedition Everest, I have experienced operations when disney put max trains in and stacking up... which universal doesn't do as often. That and imotep works far more often then the yeti.

Although ROTM is one of my favorite rides, this time around Everest gets my vote. I really wished Everest got farther in TOC 1. It is a great ride, themed amazingly, and has a great finally (when it is working properly). It is an old school Disney coaster with modern tech.

I promise that any future tournaments will not include any rides from Orlando, period. Look up at the last three posts guys - you're not even *considering* rides outside of Florida. Needless to say that makes for a very inaccurate vote.

I voted for Mr Freeze. Looks like a really intense coaster, and I just love launched ones. I do like the going backwards element a lot too.

I went for Revenge of the Mummy. As I have said before, the west coast version is arguably my favorite roller coaster therefore I can only imagine how much I would enjoy the Florida version. Expedition Everest gets second, and Mr. Freeze an honorable mention. Powder Keg on the other hand? Eh!
