Default TOC2 Round 1: Indoor Dark Coasters

The final Round 1 match-up from the Blue Bracket features indoor in-the-dark coasters. Magic Kingdom represents Florida as it pits Space Mountain against Disneyland's very different Space Mountain and Six Flags Great Adventure's The Dark Knight Coaster.

Remember to vote for your FAVORITE coaster, and the two rides with the highest vote counts will advance to Round 2.

This is one of the easiest polls in the entire Tournament for me. The Dark Knight Coaster is a joke. The only problem is it's missing a punchline. Space Mountain at Magic Kingdom, though I respect the fact that it is in fact the original, is a terrible coaster. Space Mountain at Disneyland, on the other hand, is one of the few rides that I've ever used the word "epic" to describe. It's glass smooth, fast, fun and peppy enough to be thrilling to even a seasoned coaster rider like myself. The on-board soundtrack is so perfectly synced to the ride's layout that it takes the experience to a whole other level, and all the new special effects just make the ride a blast, excuse the pun. Here's another ride that I'd vote for straight through to the finals. Disneyland's Space Mountain is the perfect ride to prove that bigger and faster isn't necessarily better, and tons of loops and g-forces are not always what it takes to be called the best.

I agree that this is a very easy poll, and I am going to vote for DL's Space Mountain, but really, I'm not not an obsessed fan of the ride.

It's fun, and the theme is really impressive, but the ride gets old! It's just constant sharp turns, and sometimes I get off the ride sick. If I don't, I'm definitely done with it for the day. A must ride at DL, but only one ride. Then I'll go back to Matterhorn (I love my user rank ).

I'm a huge fan of Matterhorn Bobsleds. I tried so hard to fit it into TOC2 but there just wasn't a logical spot for it.

It's worth mentioning for anyone who did not read the flying coaster thread that Space Mountain occasionally makes you sick because you have a pre-existing motion sicknes condition. I can definitely see that being the case on a ride that's just turning you non-stop in the dark!

I vote goes to disneyland its just plain better than the other two. It doesn't have to be fast to be good, the audio system makes that coaster great.

Agreed - like I said it's easily one of my favorite coasters in the world, and I've pretty much ridden every single one generally called "the best of the best." I LOVE Disneyland's Space Mountain.

Default This poll is now open!

I voted for Goodspace Mountain. (For those of you who don't know, what rock are you living under? Goodspace Mountain is at Disneyland. Badspace Mountain is at Magic Kingdom. )

I'm not a huge fan of the Disneyland Space Mountain, but even I know that it is better than the other two coasters in this poll. Granted, I do think the Dark Knight looks interesting - despite the negative buzz.

The only thing The Dark Knight Coaster is missing is the punchline. Even with it, it would still be just a terrible joke.

I thought Bad space was mission 2 in pairs, and mediocre space was MK

I voted for good space too.
