Round 1 of the Green Bracket began with a heated and somewhat controversial pairing of Central Florida's inverted roller coasters. In the end, Busch Gardens Tampa's Montu narrowly edged out Universal's Islands of Adventure's Fire Dragon to advance to Round 2.
