Default Round 2: The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror vs. The Haunted Mansion

The final Round 2 pairing of the Red Bracket featured two of Disney's most popular, classic attractions go head to head - and not just any two - *the* two that have been debated for 15 years now over what the world's most themed attraction truly is! Disney's Hollywood Studios pits its original materpiece, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror against Magic Kingdom's timeless classic, The Haunted Mansion.

In the end, it was The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror that checked in for its reservation to Round 3 where it will meet another iconic Disney attraction, Splash Mountain!

I wonder which is going to win.

My vote goes to Haunted Mansion. All around better ride for me.

Both have great atmosphere and very enjoyable slow portions. ToT however, wins because, in addition to that slow build up, it also has some great thrills as well.

Haunted Mansion should totally win due to the fact that it's one of the oldest attractions and everyone big or small can ride it. It's a true "family" attraction that makes you remember when you were a kid you would want to ride by yourself and when you did your parents would bang on your doombuggy to scare you. Haunted Mansion all the way.

I disagree with you. Just because it is old, doesn't mean anything to me. Also, big and small can also go on the Tower of Terror. I know four year olds that went on ToT.

While I think The Haunted Mansion most certainly deserves respect for all that it has done for the industry and for the standards it not only set but created for themed spook houses, I agree with BRossano on this one - just because it's older does not mean it should win on that merrit alone. Now if it were to win because it is as insanely popular as it is - well that is a different story entirely.

It's starting to look like The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror is picking up the slack on this poll.

While the Haunted Mansion is classic, and even its newest modifications better it, I still had to vote against the ride that sent ghosts to follow me home from my vacation.

While Tower of Terror started out amazingly, it has only gotten better with the randomness of your ride program, making each ride different and thrilling as well.

The ride perfectly captures the spirit of the original TV show, which is no small feat at all, and it delivers on the excitement each time you write it.

Plus, this is one of the only rides that has been changed slightly over time to enhance your T.O.T. experience, whether it was the varying changes of your particular ride to someone else or the fact they installed seat belts for every individual seat as opposed to the original lap bars that really sent you into the air, if you had someone a little bigger in the same row as you.

This is a premiere attraction that hasn't lost anything over time, so throw your hands in the air, lift your feet off the ground, and let's send this freefaller into the next round.

Mansion gets my vote but I love them equally. Mansion is a true Disney classic. The prime dark ride. ToT is a great thrill ride and an all around great attraction. It is so close for me.
